Prawn Theory is a labour of love.
For years, I was completely detached from creativity. Whether it was because I was studying for my Philosophy degree and working retail to make ends meet, or later because my office job was consuming my life.
One day I realised (in the office no less!) with sudden clarity that I was miserable. I hated my job. It wasn’t me. I handed my notice in with no plan. I left the city and moved back in with dad in the middle of nowhere.
For the first time in my adult life, I had no job, no exams, no house of my own. I was forced to consider what it is that I really do want - what it is that makes me happy.
And so, for the first time in a decade, I bought a sketchpad and picked up a pencil. I began creating for the sake of creating. Alone in my childhood bedroom, I would draw for hours. It became my crutch.
It took a while, but I finally had the revelation: “I don’t have to create in private. If I want to, I can create a life around art and design.”
“And I do want that.”
It started with creating prints and doing commissions. But I soon began finding myself more and more excited by graphic design.
Since then, I have worked with personal brands, helping them bring their vision to life.
A designer who gets the vision

I've brought her in to work on webinar slide decks and course mockups for our clients. When she smashed that, I had her design my workshop funnel. It's rare to find a designer who gets the vision while also bringing that special something. This is usually where I'd say something along the lines of just hire her already , but she's so good, I want her all to myself!”
